OTHER GOSSIP
Sophia and Austin Calling It Quits!
One Tree Hill isn't the only thing ending this year: stars Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols are done for good! After six years of dating off and on, and playing a happily married couple on the show, the pair have decided to break up. No word about why the soon-to-be former co-stars have called it off, but a source tells Us Weekly that Bush gave Nichols his walking papers because she "didn't think he was the one."
Don't forget she also dated Chad Michael Murray for about two years, married him, then just after five months of marriage, called it quits and she has also dated James Lafferty (Nathan.)
So who's next in the Sophia Bush dating line-up? She's running out of cast members (especially now that the show is concluded. Luckily for her, her next job appears to be on the horizon.
It has been reported that Bush might be taking the role for an upcoming pilot from CBS called Partners. It is a half hour multi-cam sitcom. The pilot is about the relationship of a pair of friends, one gay and one straight. Bush is said to be playing the role of the straight guy's girlfriend.
Crossing our fingers that the show is a hit for her! Good luck Sophia

Ian Somerhalder has...KIDS?!
Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries) talked to E! News recently about his kids.
Hold the phone, did he say KIDS?!
Yes and no...apparently he has many cats. Pets are a man's best friend, and Somerhalder apparently can't say no to a few dozen furry friends.
Many of his kitties are pets that he personally rescued. Awww, what a softie! Somerhalder told eonline "I've got a number of them, and sometimes that number fluctuates because there will be a rescue that's fostered a little bit. There's a lot of fur."
Somerhalder is no crazy cat person taking in every stray feline that comes his way. "Ideally, I need to get them to a clinic first," Somerhalder said. "There's an amazing clinic here in Atlanta, Pets Are People Too. These guys take care of all my animals. We get [strays] there and get them healthy because I don't want to take them back to my pride and get my kids sick."
The Humane Society recently announced that Somerhalder is being honored for his work on trying help animals. He will receive the prestigious Wyler Award at The Humane Society of the United States’ upcoming 26th Genesis Awards on Saturday, March 24, at The Beverly Hilton. One of the animal protection organization’s highest honors, The Wyler Award is bestowed on a celebrity or public figure for raising awareness of animal issues via the media.
“Ian is the epitome of a new kind of advocate who leverages his fame and an array of media platforms to draw public attention to animal protection concerns and other issues that he cares deeply about,” says Beverly Kaskey, executive producer of the annual Genesis Awards. “From addressing Congress to making TV appearances to regularly blogging to informing his million-plus followers on Twitter, Ian is a major voice and force for animals and a most deserving recipient of The Wyler Award.”

Ringer: Wearing White (And Almost Nothing At All!)
Sarah Michelle Gellar is really flexing her acting muscles playing twins on Ringer, but she will soon work even harder showing two different personalities of 'bad twin' Bridget.
Gellar gets to work the 'madonna/whore' complex in next week's episode, which both revisits her stripper days and slip into a pure white wedding dress.
Bridget (still posing as sister Siobhan) is surprised but pleased when hubby Andrew, charmed by the change in her personality but none the wiser as to its cause, proposes the couple renews their vows. That prompts the trip to the bridal gown designer to try on dresses. But will this wedding, twin switch or no, take place? "We're writing the last episode now," says executive producer Pam Veasey, "and it's very possible."
Then, in the next episode, you'll see a steamy flashback to Bridget's strip club career, including the former addict soliciting a lap dance. Veasey says, "It's very seductive," adds Veasey. And revealing in more ways than one: "You're going to finally get the answer to how Bridget ended up first going on the run."

Hart of Dixie's Scott Porter Engaged!
Scott Porter (George Tucker, Hart of Dixie) is taking a cue from his on-screen character: he has proposed to girlfriend Kelsey Mayfield, according to Digital Spy.
A friend of the couple has claimed that Porter popped the question on a trip to New York City in January after dating Mayfield for four years.
Porter and Mayfield, a casting director, apparently met on the set of the actor's previous series Friday Night Lights.
Another source close to the pair told Us Weekly of their first meeting: "When they first met, Scott said he worked on [Friday Night Lights] and Kelsey assumed he meant as an extra or grip guy - she had no idea he was an actual character.
"They hit it off regardless, and one week when Kelsey was going on a trip, Scott gave her some DVDs of the show. Of course she was laughing when she found out [he was on the show] and called him."
Hart of Dixie airs Mondays at 9pm on Toledo 5!
Smallville's Tess Comes to TVD!
Cassidy Freeman, who played master manipulator and secret Luthor Tess on Smallville, will be making trouble on The Vampire Diaries!
Freeman's character, a female boxer named Sage, will show up on the 16th episode, titled "1912" according to TVLine. Producer Julie Plec teases that "It's timed about 100 years ago, when Damon was still...the Damon that walked out of the door in a huff of disappointment and piousness when brother Stefan was out of control in 1864."
Plec says that "somewhere between 1864 and the TVD pilot, Damon became the Damon that we know and love, and this episode gives us a little glimpse into that - and what Cassidy's Sage had to do with it." Sage will be featured in both present-day and flashback scenes.
Can't wait to see her in action! Watch when The Vampire Diaries returns with an all-new episode on March 15th.

Who is the Serial Killer on The Vampire Diaries?

If you watch The Vampire Diaries, you know a serial killer has been knifing mortals throughout the town of Mystic Falls, seemingly for no reason. So far, a hefty dose of suspicion has been cast on the character of Dr. Meredith Fell, played by Torrey DeVitto, real life wife of Paul Wesley (Stefan). But is that a red herring?
Alaric might not think so, since she shot at him after he found her secret stash of weaponry. If he was hit, he is in big trouble, as his magic revival ring does not help him unless he is injured by a supernatural creature.
Expect more clues soon, according to Executive Producer Julie Plec. “The episode where we come back after the next little mini-hiatus really dives right into that mystery and tells us, starts to give us a sense of what’s actually going on and who’s behind this strange trail of bodies that have been stacking up. That villain and that mystery will be driving us towards the end of the season very hard.” And don't be surprised if this murder gets solved the old-fashioned way...not as much seances with dead witches, as it will be like CSI: Mystic Falls. This story will be wrapped around the other big plot on the show: the death (possibly!) of all the originals.
More goodies from Plec: the character of Meredith will be with us for the near future, if not longer. “With Meredith, [the story] has been ever-evolving,” she muses. “It’s possible [the character could become a permanent fixture] — or she could die a horrific, violent and tragic death.”
Also, don't expect the revival ring to stay effective forever. The “eternity ring can’t be relied upon much longer,” Plec shares. “There’s definitely a sense of the clock ticking on the effectiveness of the ring, and that’s going to be a big concern for [Elena] who really only has two very important people left in her life: Alaric and Jeremy.

America's Next Top Model: The British are Coming!
America's Next Top Model is returning to Toledo 5 on February 29th, and the big boss herself, Tyra Banks is throwing another twist at her fans.
The show is featuring its first-ever “British Invasion,” featuring former contestants from Britain’s Next Top Model and an all-new crop of American model hopefuls competing for the grand prize.
This cycle will feature a variety of seasoned women from across the pond that will do whatever it takes to make it as a model in America. They will compete against not only each other but a group of aspiring American models. Emotions run high, the women are divided (by nationality?) and the competition is intense as they vie for the grand prize.
Lending their expertise as guest judges this cycle are actress and singer Kelly Osbourne, reality star Kris Jenner, pop star Estelle, Marchesa fashion designer Georgina Chapman, television host Cat Deeley and fashion photographer Jez Smith among others.
The British favorites and American women battle it out to earn the prestigious title of “America’s Next Top Model.” They will compete for a career-launching prize package: a modeling contract with LA/NY Models, a chance to be a guest correspondent on the hit newsmagazine “Extra,” a fashion spread in Vogue Italia and the cover and spread in Beauty In Vogue, the face of “America’s Next Top Model” perfume Dream Come True, a single to be released with CBS and a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics.
Banks leads the panel of judges, comprised of New York Times best-selling author and fashion public relations maven Kelly Cutrone and noted photographer Nigel Barker. Jay Manuel serves as creative director while Miss J. Alexander returns as the runway trainer.
America's Next Top Model premieres Wednesday, February 29th at 9pm on Toledo5!
